Would not be without it

I would not be without this - still using it 8 months on x helps me actually get some sleep as I probably would stay up all night watching him! Best purchase I made.

Amazing!

I love this product so much!! My daughter was premature and so tiny and i was just paranoid to start with that i was up non stop through the night just peeking over making sure she was ok. It's hard enough getting sleep with a newborn as it is, without your own fears keeping you up! Love you can set the volume of the monitor and it's nice when you wake up you don't have to look over in the dark trying to see and make sure there's movement and little baby breaths, you don't even have to open your eyes just listen to the reassuring little chirps of the snuza and drift right back to sleep. The alarm if movement does unfortunately stop, is nice and loud and will definitely wake you up. You can also change the setting on that as well for how long with no movement before it sound the alarm.... seriously so so so happy were got this. I sleep so much better with this, totally worth every penny!

Snuza Go literally saved my baby's life!

Snuza Go literally saved my baby's life! My daughter was born a bit premature at almost 4 weeks early, and I ordered the Snuza Go while still in the hospital because I wanted it on hand for the first night she was home.

Two days after we came home, we were sitting at the kitchen table (discussing the Snuza ironically), and my daughter was sleeping in her portable bassinet about 10 feet away. All of a sudden the Snuza alarm started going off. We ran to the baby and found her not breathing. We picked her up and started jostling her around and calling her name, with still no response from her. Thinking there could be mucus or something stuck in her mouth and blocking her airway, I attempted to suction her, and ultimately ended up sticking my finger into her mouth to feel for something that could be blocking her airway. I found nothing, but she also did not react in any way to my finger being put way back in her mouth (and if she were ok her pediatrician agreed she would have gagged or cried or reacted in some way).

At this point my husband called 911, and the dispatcher walked us through CPR. After performing CPR she finally gasped and then started to cry.

I can't bare to think about what would have happened if we had not had the Snuza to alert us that there was a problem. It no doubt saved her life and is the only reason she is still with us. That was almost 3 weeks ago, and since that incident, she has only been without the Snuza Go during diaper changes and baths. We also now leave the click feature turned on at all times so that we have the auditory indication of her breaths.

If you are at all on the fence about a Snuza, buy it! I promise you will not regret it! Unlike the under the mattress kind, the Snuza will work no matter where the baby happens to be sleeping. We also have an under the mattress alarm for her crib next to our bed (which we purchased after this incident to have a backup), but use the Snuza in addition to that one so that we have coverage no matter where she is. (At night we actually use both simultaneously so that we have backup -- after that horrifying incident we take no chances!). Though we have both kinds of monitors now, if I could only have one, it would be the Snuza because of its ability to be used anywhere. (Even though the manufacturer indicates that it shouldn't be used while in motion, i.e. in cars, strollers, etc, I still use it in these situations because, though I don't count on it while we're moving, I do find it reassuring to hear the clicks when we stop at red lights, etc.)

The Snuza's alarm is loud enough to hear if in the same room. If the baby isn't in the same room with you though, you will want to use a sound monitor to reliably hear the alarm, especially during the night when you are sleeping. On the topic of false alarms, we had a few early on when we initially had her in newborn diapers which were a little too big and also had to place the device to the side of her abdomen in order to avoid her cord, but now that we've been able to place it in the center of her abdomen (and have switched to preemie diapers which fit her better) , we've had virtually no false alarms. And she likes to roll onto her side to sleep, which could also contribute to false alarms if not placed securely (but this usually isn't an issue either since we get her diaper snug).
